UPDATE: JANUARY 26, 2025

I can’t believe I’m writing this but as of this weekend, over 300 large boxes of books have been collected across NY, NJ, CT and up to Boston since I started this a few weeks ago. By my best guess, somewhere between 8,000 - 12,000+ books have been collected. It is astounding that this effort, that has been the result of largely mothers, small community businesses and others through word of mouth, has created such an astounding impact. The Access team on the ground in LA is thrilled to get their hands on our books and to be able to provide impacted children these books at a time where refuge and regularity is sorely needed.

This Friday, January 31 those boxes will be picked up, packed up at a (donated) warehouse in NJ and shipped directly into the hands of children, teachers and communities in Los Angeles via a partnership with the amazing non profit Access Books.

UPDATE: JANUARY 23, 2025

As of today, over 150 boxes have been collected across the tri state + Boston. Thousands of children’s books are making their way to Los Angeles’ children, schools and communities. I have coordinated with a charity on the ground in LA whose volunteers are distributing these books directly to the impacted schools and families in Pasadena and Altadena.
